The method · Lingofit Geneva

A method built so that no one falls behind

At Lingofit, we have observed one thing: it is not a lack of intelligence that causes students to give up. It is the lack of motivation, working method, self-confidence, and the feeling of not progressing. We built our approach to eliminate these causes one by one.

The philosophy

When German courses don’t work, and how we do things differently

The reality of language learning is that the "standard course" only works for students who would have succeeded anyway. For everyone else — and there are many — what they need is a teacher with whom they feel confident, who uses the right techniques to pass on learning and organisational tools.

This is why we never simply "assign a teacher". We match each student to the teacher best suited to their profile, their personality and their objectives. The alchemy between student and teacher is the first condition for success.

The pillars of the method

What makes the Lingofit method unique

1

Teacher chosen for you

No random assignment. We assess your learning profile, personality and objectives, then select the teacher who best matches. The alchemy between student and teacher is the first condition for success.

2

Teachers trained in our pedagogy

Our teachers are trained in the Lingofit methodology: how to precisely assess a level, identify specific blocks, and maintain motivation over time.

3

The Lingofit Notebook

Given to each student, the Lingofit Notebook teaches students to structure their revision, organise German vocabulary and consolidate knowledge between sessions. A student who knows how to work independently progresses twice as fast.

4

Online session recordings

For all online courses, every session is fully recorded and downloadable on your device. Students can re-watch grammar explanations, re-hear vocabulary pronunciation, revise corrections before an exam.

The shared file

Google Drive file: your personal learning space

Beyond recordings, we set up a shared Google Drive file for each student. It contains exercises done during sessions, corrections, German vocabulary lists, and supplementary resources recommended by the teacher.

It is a space that grows with the student, session by session — a living learning journal, accessible at any time from any device.

The human approach

Against disengagement: what we do concretely

Disengagement in language learning often has a single origin: the student stops seeing progress. Our teachers are trained to detect the signs of demotivation before they set in. They know how to adapt the pace, change the approach, refocus on what motivates the student.

For children, this means staying in the world of play even when the level becomes more demanding. For adults, it means acknowledging that learning after a day of work requires specific energy management. For professionals, it means showing concrete progress on real situations encountered in their work — not abstract exercises.

At Lingofit, we truly believe that the right fit between a student and their teacher is not a detail. It is the foundation on which everything else rests. That is why we never rush this choice.

"Learning a language is a bit like doing sport. At first it may seem difficult, but once you start and make the first progress, it is extremely satisfying."
